The Uyghur
story so far

China’s “vocational training centres”

We’ve outlined 3 quick and easy ways for you to demand support for the
Uyghurs and an end to the atrocities.

1. Write to your representative in Government

Write a simple letter to your representative in Government, urging them to raise
the issue at national level. Our representatives can make things happen, and
drum-up international, high level support for the Uyghur people. Encourage your
representative to push the Government to release statements condemning the
awful treatment of the Uyghurs, and demanding the closure of the camps.
When you write to your Parliamentary representative or local government
official, it spreads awareness of the human rights violations happening in China
and shows them that their constituents are rallying behind the Uyghur people.
Highlight the issues happening in Xinjiang, such as the torture happening in “re-
education” camps or the violations of Uyghur speech and expression, and urge
them to do something about it.

2. Write to the Chinese embassy

By writing to the Chinese Embassy, and express your displeasure you could play
an important role is fighting for Uyghur freedom. Appeal to the Chinese
Ambassadors and ask that they raise your concerns and the overall Uyghur
plight with the Chinese government.
